Indonesian Tourism Exceeds 2025 Target

The Indonesian tourism sector surpassed its 2025 goals, reaching 15.39 million international visits, exceeding the expected 14-15 million and growing by 10.8% from 2024. Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana highlighted that this success was due to key gateways like Bali, Jakarta, and Riau Islands. Improved tourism quality is seen in the rise of international spending, averaging $1,267 per visitor. This also bolstered the economy, generating $18.91 billion in tourism revenue in 2025. Domestic tourism grew by 17.55%, with 1.2 billion trips, emphasizing the significance of the domestic market. Tourism investments also rose by 56.05% from 2024, reaching 73.56 trillion IDR.
