Indonesia and Saudi Arabia Strengthen Digital Service Integration for Hajj and Umrah

Indonesia and Saudi Arabia are collaborating to enhance the digital integration of their systems to improve the quality of services for pilgrims performing Hajj and Umrah. This initiative was proposed by Indonesia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Moch. Irfan Yusuf, at the Saudi-Indonesian Umrah Co.Exchange forum held in Mecca. The partnership focuses on not only technological modernization but also ensuring the maximum safety and comfort of pilgrims. One of the key initiatives is data integration with Saudi systems to ensure comprehensive tracking and high-level service for all pilgrims. The Nusuk Masar platform will be optimized for hotel contract management and pilgrim services.

Additionally, there is a proposal to increase flexibility in visa replacement mechanisms for pilgrims who withdraw at the last minute to avoid wasting quotas. This is crucial as each pilgrim slot is considered a sacred right for every Muslim. Plans also include digital payment solutions for penalties, simplifying and speeding up the payment processes.

Such integration is expected to accelerate administrative processes and strengthen the oversight of pilgrims, particularly in emergency situations. The government sees these measures as foundational for more modern and transparent Hajj and Umrah service management in the future.
