Indonesia Seeks Seamless Digital Link with Saudi Arabia for Pilgrims

The Indonesian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has declared its readiness to collaborate with the Saudi Arabian government to integrate digital systems. This initiative aims to ensure continuous improvements in Hajj and Umrah services for Indonesians. Hajj and Umrah Minister Mochamad Irfan Yusuf emphasized the importance of modernizing technology to ensure the safety and comfort of pilgrims. The ministry is committed to overseeing all stages, from visa procedures to accommodation, healthcare, and transport in Saudi Arabia. Yusuf reaffirmed Indonesia’s support for modernizing these services in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and stressed the need to strengthen connectivity between both countries’ systems. He also proposed flexibility in replacing individuals unable to make the Hajj pilgrimage with others in line. Additionally, the minister sought technical clarity on implementing dam through digital means, supporting practicality. Thus, system integration aims to facilitate administrative processes, enhance oversight, and improve emergency response with the ultimate goal of making all pilgrimage services more modern and transparent.
