81% of Indonesian Companies Not Ready to Adopt AI

According to the Cisco AI Readiness Index 2025, a large portion of Indonesian companies are not ready to adopt artificial intelligence. The study revealed that only 19 percent of companies have sufficient infrastructure to effectively utilize AI. The main challenges include underdeveloped IT infrastructure, disorganized data, a lack of skilled personnel, and insufficient security investments. Edward, Director of PT Nusa Network Prakarsa, noted that many companies are keen to follow trends without realizing their unpreparedness. He emphasizes the importance of data consolidation, security standard enhancement, and network infrastructure optimization. Harmonizing these aspects is key to successful AI integration, without which companies may face unwanted risks.
