Indonesians Spend 2.45 Billion Hours Using AI Apps in 2025
In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of daily life in Indonesia. AI-based applications are no longer limited to professional or research needs and are increasingly entering personal spaces, assisting with information searches, content processing, and simple decision-making. This trend marks a new chapter in how the public interacts with digital technology. According to Sensor Tower, the time spent using AI applications reached 48.1 billion hours globally in 2025. In Indonesia, this figure was 2.45 billion hours, indicating a significant increase from previous years. It’s important to note that the surge in AI usage is connected to the increased number of application downloads, rising from 7.6 million to 131 million over four years.
