Technology Funding: Challenges for Developing Indonesia's Youth Creative Economy
The Department of Digital Economy and Creative Products of Indonesia’s Ministry of Creative Economy is actively supporting the development of the nation’s creative economy, particularly for youth. The goal is to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesian creative products in the global market. A key focus area is strengthening the ecosystem in the online gaming sector. The ministry conducts various training sessions to improve the quality and skills of human resources. Additionally, investment in gaming startups is being promoted, along with opening up opportunities in international markets.
Despite all efforts, there are significant challenges in advancing the creative economy. Understanding the potential of intellectual property and digital creativity among human resources is one major challenge. Expanding the use of technology, including artificial intelligence, and enhancing digital infrastructure are necessary for further development. Ensuring financial accessibility for the creative economy sector is also crucial.
