Rupiah Strengthens Against US Dollar on Last Day of 2025
On the last day of 2025, the Indonesian Rupiah significantly strengthened against the US Dollar. This occurred amid Indonesia’s strengthening economy and the Central Bank’s efforts to support the national currency. The Rupiah rose by 0.01%, reaching 16,668 per dollar. The improvement in the exchange rate indicates that the country’s economic strategy is yielding results and ensuring stability in the foreign exchange market.
Analysts note that the Central Bank’s policy, aimed at stabilizing the exchange rate through increasing foreign reserves and reducing inflation, has been particularly significant. Additionally, the growth of exports and attracting foreign investments have been important factors contributing to the Rupiah’s strength. Despite global economic fluctuations, Indonesia managed to maintain healthy economic growth, positively affecting the national currency.
It is noteworthy that in previous years, Indonesia faced challenges in its currency policy due to unstable external conditions and the strengthening of the US Dollar. However, in 2025, the situation began to stabilize, and the Rupiah demonstrated confidence in its positions amid the country’s improving macroeconomic indicators.
Such changes in the foreign exchange market positively impact domestic economic indicators, reducing debt and improving business conditions. The government’s remedial measures have qualitatively strengthened the financial system, creating a favorable environment for economic growth.
It is expected that in 2026, the Rupiah will continue to maintain its positions if positive economic trends persist. The strengthening of the national currency is likely to contribute to increased consumption and strengthening positions in international markets.
Alongside domestic policy, Indonesia is also improving its external relations, which may lead to additional stability in the foreign exchange market. These achievements underscore the strength of the country’s economy and give hope for further growth and development.
