Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, expressed optimism that the country’s economy will grow to 8 percent in the next two years. This statement follows improving economic performance amid global slowdown and continuous structural reforms driven by the government. Airlangga emphasized that the target set by President Prabowo Subianto has solid grounds. He likened the economy to an airplane which, since 1998, has been held back by various external challenges, but is now ready to take off.
