Pos Indonesia Implements AI to Enhance Logistics

At the Indonesia AI Day for Supply Chain Industry forum, hosted by Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, PT Pos Indonesia unveiled its digital transformation strategy based on artificial intelligence. Amid growing competition in the logistics industry, the company aims to enhance operational efficiency with AI. The utilization of AI not only enhances operational efficiency but also helps build a smarter and more adaptive supply chain system that can respond swiftly to market changes.
Prasabri Pesti, Director of Business Development at PT Pos Indonesia, asserts that digital transformation supported by AI enables the company to remain relevant and achieve sustainable growth in the rapidly evolving logistics industry. “AI is one of the main pillars for Pos Indonesia to remain competitive,” he stated.
In addition to AI, the company focuses significantly on consolidating the national logistics business. This expansion allows for greater operational efficiency and provides opportunities for strategic partnerships with global players, opening access to international markets.
This initiative aligns with plans to form a National Logistics Holding under Danantara’s coordination, aiming to integrate the logistics ecosystems of BUMN.
The event in Jakarta brought together numerous industry leaders, including representatives from Garuda Indonesia and Transjakarta, and was opened by M. Danny Buldansyah, Director and Chief Business Officer of IOH.
