Opening of New Immigration Office in East Lombok
East Lombok marked an important event with the opening of a new Class II immigration office. Coinciding with the 76th Immigration Service Day celebration, this inauguration symbolizes a new era of service delivery for the region’s residents. Located at 72 Pejanggik Street, Selong District, the new office will significantly simplify the process of obtaining passports, visas, and other critical immigration-related documents.
Under the theme ‘Immigration in Service, Advancing Indonesia’, the celebration underscores the commitment to enhance service quality and introduce new technologies to streamline procedures. Particular attention is given to creating comfortable conditions for citizens, alongside enhancing infrastructure and staff qualifications.
With the new office’s inauguration, East Lombok residents will benefit from faster and more convenient solutions for migration-related issues. This reduces the need to travel to other regions for such services.
The event also served as an opportunity to reflect on past achievements and future plans in Indonesia’s immigration sector. The government continues to strengthen its frameworks and increase analytical capacity to adapt to current global mobility conditions.
