Airlangga: Malls Can Be Workplaces, Government Encourages WFA Facilities
Airlangga Hartarto, Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, announced a new approach to workplace organization. Amidst the growing trend of Work From Anywhere (WFA) in the country, the government decided to initiate the transformation of malls into comfortable workspaces. According to him, this will efficiently tackle issues of urbanization, stimulate the economy, and improve working conditions. The concept presented by Airlangga suggests the modernization of mall infrastructure to provide reliable internet, comfortable workstations, and accessible leisure areas. With the rise of WFA, more workers seek flexible working conditions, and urban infrastructure should adapt to these changes. This bold step aims to maintain a balance between professional and personal life and optimize the use of urban spaces.
