In 2026, Rosan Roeslani was elected as the chairman of MES, strengthening hopes for enhancing Sharia economy’s status. Investment in the halal sector reached $1.6 billion in 2025, showcasing active financial involvement. Nevertheless, Sharia economy faces challenges, primarily the need for paradigm shifts and the advancement of knowledge. This is crucial for Sharia economy to compete with the conventional economy, which remains dominant.
