Indonesia and Norway Launch Small Grant Phase IV to Support FOLU 2030

In Jakarta, Indonesia’s Minister of Forestry, Raja Juli Antoni, and Norway’s Minister of National Development, Asmund Aukrust, officially launched the fourth phase of the Small Grant program. This initiative continues the third phase, launched in August 2025, and aims to support the goals of Indonesia’s Forestry and Other Land Use (FOLU) Net Sink 2030. The program involves result-based funding and encourages active public involvement in climate action, including youth and social forestry groups. To date, funds amounting to 19.31 billion Rupiah have been distributed to 561 community groups, covering over 31,000 people. Norway has already contributed 216 million USD to support Indonesia’s efforts against deforestation. The program is aimed at further engaging the public and fostering global efforts to combat climate change.
