Free Health Checkup Program: President Prabowo's Dream

President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, is taking significant strides towards improving public health through an ambitious free health checkup program known as CKG. This initiative aims to vastly extend access to healthcare services, particularly for vulnerable populations, and enhance the overall health standards of the nation.

Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, outlined that the CKG program is a heartfelt initiative by the president and is poised to serve as a key tool in providing the masses with healthcare access. In 2025, the program achieved significant success by engaging 70 million Indonesians, and it plans to reach 136 million participants by 2026.

The current focus of the program is the diagnosis and subsequent treatment of detected conditions. Previously, only education was provided for conditions like hypertension and diabetes, but now immediate treatment is offered. The Ministry of Health is partnering with local departments and medical facilities to strengthen its efforts in conducting mass screenings and treatments to ensure public well-being.

This project underscores the government’s commitment to making citizens healthier by improving healthcare access, so that health is not a luxury but a right for everyone. Emphasis is on timely diagnosis and treatment of conditions, which is expected to lead to a healthier and more productive nation.
