Doctors Reveal Many Undiagnosed Kawasaki Cases in Indonesia

It is estimated that thousands of Kawasaki disease cases occur annually among children in Indonesia, yet many go undiagnosed. Professor Najib Advani from the University of Indonesia highlighted the lack of a national data registry, leading to an underestimation of the problem’s scope. Without timely diagnosis and treatment, 15–25% of children face the risk of coronary artery complications.
