PT Astra International Tbk. ceremoniously delivered 35 ambulances to 11 regions in Indonesia, including Sumatra and Papua, on January 5, 2026. The delivery aims to enhance emergency medical services and ensure medical assistance in critical situations. Of the 35 vehicles, 30 are Daihatsu Luxio and 5 are Isuzu Traga Bus Euro 4. Special attention is given to North and West Sumatra, where 9 units are allocated.

The vehicle delivery event took place as part of the 2025 National Christmas celebration in the presence of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and other high-ranking officials. Astra President Djony Bunarto Tjondro expressed hope that the new vehicles will accelerate emergency medical assistance in both everyday life and critical situations, providing medical personnel with the necessary tools for their work.

The ambulances are equipped with modern medical equipment, including monitors, suction pumps, emergency devices, and oxygen systems. For safety, each vehicle is fitted with light bars and sirens, and fire extinguishers. This initiative is part of Astra’s broader program to improve the welfare of Indonesian citizens.
