BPJS Kesehatan Enhances Legal Handling with Jamdatun
At the beginning of 2026, BPJS Kesehatan entered a strategic partnership with Jamdatun from Indonesia’s Attorney General’s Office to strengthen the legal framework of the National Health Insurance Program (JKN). This collaboration aims to ensure the program’s reliability, accountability, and integrity. BPJS Kesehatan Director Ghufron Mukti emphasizes the importance of adhering to legal aspects, especially as the JKN program now covers over 98% of the country’s population.
The collaboration includes provision of legal assistance, support in the form of legal opinions, mediation, and conciliation. There are also plans to enhance employee competencies through workshops and training, with a focus on preventing corruption.
This expanded partnership will support BPJS Kesehatan in fulfilling its responsibilities, as the organization manages healthcare for over 280 million people. The attorney general’s support is aimed at addressing the legal challenges faced by JKN, helping to bolster public trust.
BPJS Kesehatan and Jamdatun continue to work together to reduce legal risks and improve the program’s efficiency, focused on protecting basic social rights.
