Menko PMK Urges AI Developers to Ensure Digital Education
Mohamad Pratikno, Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, strongly urged technology developers, especially artificial intelligence (AI), to take the responsibility of ensuring digital education reaches the country’s citizens. Pratikno emphasized that the success of digital education is measured not by the number of guidelines distributed but by their actual usage by citizens, teachers, and parents. In the era of digital disruption and AI, intelligence must be paired with mental and moral health. He also highlighted the need for multi-party collaboration to create a sustainable digital education system. The YouTube platform has joined this initiative, committing to safe learning. Special attention is also given to the role of parents in digital parenting, recommended as a process of accompaniment rather than restriction.
