Samin Community Leader from Bojonegoro Receives Indonesian Cultural Award 2025

In 2025, Indonesia’s cultural identity was celebrated through the efforts of outstanding cultural figures like Bambang Sutrisno Surosentiko, representing the Samin community in Bojonegoro. Bambang received the prestigious Anugerah Kebudayaan Indonesia award from the Indonesian Ministry of Culture. This accolade highlights his long-lasting work in preserving and promoting the traditional values of the Samin culture handed down through generations. This year’s event ran under the theme of ‘The Energy of Cultural Movers,’ recognizing 31 outstanding participants from different regions of Indonesia, each making significant contributions to the advancement of national culture. Indonesia’s Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon, expressed gratitude to all awardees, noting the importance of their contributions to preserving the nation’s cultural heritage. In his remarks, Bambang expressed his thankfulness for the acknowledgment of his efforts, emphasizing that the award received is the result of the collaborative work of all those who support and develop the Samin culture.
