Pramono: Bank Jakarta's Visa Card to Build Trust

On January 6, 2026, Bank Jakarta officially launched its new Visa Debit Card, marking a significant collaboration with the global payment system Visa. The launch, attended by DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung and other prominent figures, represents an effort to enhance financial accessibility for bank clients and bolster Jakarta’s city branding as a global metropolis.
Governor Pramono Anung highlighted the importance of this initiative in building public trust towards Bank Jakarta. According to the bank’s CEO Agus Widodo, this Visa card launch is part of a strategic transformation to develop a more modern and globally connected bank.
Vira Widiyasari, Country Manager of Visa Indonesia, stated that the new card will ensure safe and convenient transactions, enabling customers to leverage enhanced security features and manage their finances through mobile banking applications. The card also offers a range of benefits, including dining discounts and attractive shopping offers on both local and international e-Commerce platforms.
Bank Jakarta has released two versions of the card: Visa Classic and Visa Platinum. Both cards support a wide array of transactions with enhanced security features, providing an effective solution for modernizing customers’ financial interactions.
