Pramono Anung Announces IPO of Bank Jakarta

The Governor of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, announced plans for Bank Jakarta’s IPO on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The move aims to enhance the bank’s performance and boost public trust. Pramono emphasized the importance of professional management after the IPO and mentioned that preparations are being made in coordination with Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The Jakarta provincial government, the controlling shareholder, hopes professional management of Bank Jakarta will benefit the city’s residents. The bank’s managing director, Agus Haryoto Widodo, confirmed the IPO is planned for early 2027. Currently, the bank is focusing on strengthening business fundamentals and coordinating with financial consultants.
