Minister of Hajj Gus Irfan Strengthens Pilgrims' Protection through Digitalization in Mecca

In response to contemporary challenges, ensuring the safety of pilgrims is a top priority for Indonesia. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, led by Mochamad Irfan Yusuf (Gus Irfan), unveiled a comprehensive approach to protecting Indonesian pilgrims at the Saudi-Indonesian Umrah Co.Exchange forum in Mecca. Integrating modern technologies is a key element of the strategy aimed at enhancing the conditions and safety for millions of ‘Guests of Allah’. In his speech, Gus Irfan emphasized that caring for pilgrims is not only a logistical issue, but a significant moral responsibility. Every year, Indonesia sends millions of its citizens for the Hajj, and the government is committed to ensuring their safety and comfort. A crucial aspect of this strategy is the strict adherence to Saudi Arabia’s legal norms, which guarantees comfort and safety for all pilgrims. ‘We aim to ensure that every Indonesian pilgrim feels safe, respected, and well-served throughout their journey,’ the minister emphasized.
