DPR Forms Hajj Supervisory Team for 2026

The Indonesian Parliament (DPR RI) has officially formed a Supervisory Committee for the organization of Hajj in 2026. Led by the parliament’s leadership, this committee is set to oversee the entire process, from preparation to the pilgrimage execution. Marwan Dasopang, Chairman of Commission VIII of the DPR, stated that the committee involves various commissions directly linked to Hajj organization. Emphasis is placed on improving all aspects of service, including transport and catering. The DPR is keen to eliminate any issues that could disrupt the comfort of pilgrims, keeping in mind Indonesia’s position as the country with the largest number of Hajj participants. This move underscores the parliament’s commitment to ensuring high service quality from planning to pilgrims’ return.
