As 2026 approaches, the Financial Services Authority of Indonesia (OJK) has once again released a list of licensed online lending platforms (Pinjol), creating a significant impact on market participants. This move aims to ensure legal and safe use of online lending services in Indonesia, which is critical in protecting consumers from hidden threats of illegal platforms. While digital platforms provide quick access to funds, they also entail risks due to malpractice, such as exorbitant interest rates and fraud. As of January 2026, 96 companies remain active and compliant with OJK’s regulations.
