OJK Announces 95 Legal Online Lenders
In November 2025, OJK updated the list of legal online lenders, including 95 platforms. This follows the revocation of a license from one company, reducing the total from 96 platforms last month. This decision is part of ongoing efforts to enhance economic security and combat financial fraud. OJK regularly releases updated lists of credit companies with official licenses.
The difference between legal and illegal online lenders lies in compliance with various criteria. Legal platforms are licensed by OJK and required to disclose loan terms, including transparent interest rates, and have clear identification and office addresses. Additionally, a client complaint mechanism is mandatory.
On the other hand, illegal lenders are not registered and often use intimidating debt collection methods. They demand full access to personal borrower data, creating a security threat.
OJK actively blocks illegal entities, helping to reduce fraud and protect citizens.
