Indonesian-Korean Volunteers Renovate Schools in Cilegon

The Beyond Borders Program in Cilegon, Banten, concluded, leaving lasting values and an enhanced educational environment for local students. Korean company Posco, in collaboration with Krakatau Posco and partners from Food for The Hungry International and Gugah Nurani Indonesia, orchestrated this unique volunteer project. From January 14 to 19, 2026, 50 student volunteers from South Korea and Indonesia actively participated in socially impactful activities aimed at strengthening the city’s educational landscape. The primary focus was on SDN Samangraya 1 and MA Al-Itmam schools, where efforts were made to improve learning conditions and create safe reading and classroom spaces. Thanks to initiatives like Balanced Diet Plate and science-engineering activities, 175 students directly experienced positive changes.
