Samindo Resources Establishes New Subsidiary in the Property Sector
In a bid to broaden its business horizons, Samindo Resources (MYOH), a leading mining company in Indonesia, has announced the creation of a new subsidiary, PT Sentra Terra Indonesia (STI). This move is part of the company’s strategic diversification into the property sector and results from a strategic partnership with PT Trasindo Murni Perkasa.
The new entity will focus on real estate activities, including construction, as well as providing food and beverage services. Samindo Resources will control 99.9% of the new company’s shares, equating to an investment of IDR 269.73 billion, while PT Trasindo Murni Perkasa will hold 0.1% of shares valued at IDR 270 million.
This strategic expansion aims to strengthen Samindo Resources’ positioning beyond its core coal mining sector, fostering financial resilience amid a volatile coal market. The new subsidiary is expected not only to bolster the group’s financial performance but also to maximize synergies among its various subsidiaries.
The corporation believes that in the long term, this expansion will lead to enhanced revenue streams and provide a sustainable foundation for future investments and the development of its corporate structure. Merging STI and MYOH’s financial statements will provide a more comprehensive view of the company’s financial health, enhancing its appeal to investors.
