Samindo Resources Diversifies Business, Shares Rise 4.30% in a Week

PT Samindo Resources Tbk, renowned for its activities in the coal sector, is making significant strides in diversifying its business to strengthen its market position and diversify revenue sources. In response to this strategic initiative, the company’s shares rose by 4.30% over the past week. The primary focus of the new strategy is a foray into the property sector.

Asset management agency MYOH, holding 99.9% of the shares, in collaboration with PT Transindo Murni Perkasa, has established a new subsidiary, PT Sentra Terra Indonesia, with a capital of IDR 270 billion. This entity will engage in property development, and its income will be consolidated into MYOH’s financial statements.

Ahmed Zaki Natsir, corporate secretary, noted that this decision will positively impact the business. MYOH’s primary income previously came from coal mining-related activities and associated services. This diversification is seen as an opportunity to enhance the company’s financial resilience.

It is noted that the main contribution to income until September 2025 came from PT Kideco Jaya Agung. Since the announcement of the diversification, the company’s share price increased by Rp 25 to Rp 1,455 per share. Over the week, the growth was 4.30%, despite a slight decline over the month.

This decision opens new horizons for MYOH’s growth amid increasing competition in the coal mining sector and demonstrates the company’s commitment to sustainable development and innovation.
