Bank Jakarta Launches Visa Debit Card to Strengthen Global Transactions
Bank Jakarta has launched a new Visa debit card, marking a significant step in the bank’s digital transformation journey. According to the bank’s CEO, Agus Haryoto Widodo, this event is not just the introduction of a new product, but the commencement of a significant transformation. The bank aims to become a more integral part of Indonesians’ lives, providing convenience and enhanced transaction capabilities both domestically and internationally.
This initiative is further bolstered by the partnership with the global payment system Visa, offering access to world-class security and a wide range of services. Vira Widiyasari, the Country Manager of Visa Indonesia, explained that the new card will provide a more convenient, secure, and globally connected transaction experience.
The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, highlighted that public trust is crucial for the project’s success, adding that this initiative will enrich Jakarta’s financial ecosystem and allow the bank to grow with confidence.
The new card caters to a broad user base, including government institutions, SMEs, and ordinary citizens, providing them with the ability to make purchases at millions of Visa merchants worldwide.
