Response to Prabowo's Approval Rating Survey

A recent survey by the Indonesia Political Indicator showed that President Prabowo Subianto enjoys a 79.9% approval rating. Of those, 13% are very satisfied and 66.9% are somewhat satisfied with his performance. However, 19.3% of citizens express dissatisfaction. The press explores the reasons behind these figures. State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi emphasized that for the government, actual programs aimed at addressing societal issues are more important than survey numbers. He mentioned the ‘war’ against poverty, educational, and healthcare deficiencies to highlight the scope of the work. Meanwhile, according to Indonesia Political Indicator Executive Director Burhanuddin Muhtadi, the leading factors for public satisfaction are the government’s anticorruption efforts and social aid programs. Nevertheless, critics point out uneven aid distribution, job scarcity, and high commodity prices.
