Indonesian Woman Arrested for Impersonating Flight Attendant

In early 2025, an unusual incident occurred in Indonesia when a young woman was arrested after attempting to impersonate a Batik Air flight attendant. The event took place in the evening of January 6 at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The 23-year-old woman boarded the plane wearing a flight attendant uniform, leaving many with the impression that she was indeed part of the crew. However, unusual behavior during the flight revealed the deception. Upon landing, she was taken to the police station for questioning. During the investigation, it was found that the woman had applied to the airline but had been unsuccessful. She purchased the uniform online and pretended to be a crew member to support her story to relatives. Authorities are currently handling the case, and the airline has asserted that the woman has no affiliation with them.
