Electric Vehicle Sales Grow by 150%: IIMS 2026 Strengthens Indonesia's EV Ecosystem

The Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026, held from February 5-15, 2026, in Jakarta, marked a significant milestone in strengthening the country’s electric vehicle ecosystem. ENTREV, a program aimed at promoting sustainable energy transition, praised the event as a strategic platform for advancing clean energy. Notably, Indonesia’s electric vehicle fleet has grown by 150% compared to previous years, reaching 103,000 units. Government support and ambitious infrastructure steps have been key success factors. PT PLN is actively expanding the network of electric vehicle charging stations, partly driven by governmental backing. The IIMS 2026 is expected to continue instilling confidence in the gradual transition to clean energy in the transportation sector.
