BYD Strengthens Efforts in Sustainable Mobility
Chinese company BYD has underscored its long-term commitment to accelerating the transition towards sustainable mobility by participating in the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026. As Indonesia’s largest automotive event, it provides a platform for showcasing BYD’s technological advancements and global business expansion. The company is focusing on implementing authentic innovations, developing infrastructure, and expanding its market in Indonesia. By 2025, BYD achieved a milestone by producing its 15 millionth new energy vehicle and surpassed 4.6 million global sales, exporting over one million units to more than 119 countries and regions. In Indonesia, the company confidently holds a leading position in the market, selling over 54,000 units and capturing about 52% of the national electric vehicle market. PT BYD Motor Indonesia’s President Director Eagle Zhao emphasized that the key to success is mastering core technology and system integration from manufacturing to education. This allows them to provide safe and reliable electric vehicles that meet both Indonesian and international market demands.
