Beware of Visa Scams! VFS Global Urges Early Application

VFS Global, a well-known provider of technology and outsourcing services, has warned Indonesian travelers about the rising threat of visa scams. In light of increasing overseas travel, they strongly recommend applying for visas early to prevent administrative hurdles. This announcement was made by Kaushik Ghosh, Head of Australasia at VFS Global, at a meeting attended by representatives of the embassies of Hungary, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Austria in Jakarta.

With the growing demand for international travel, the risk of scams also escalates. Scammers often pose as employees or authorized agents, offering quick appointments or influence over the approval process. The company emphasizes that all visa appointments should be scheduled exclusively through the official VFS Global website without any additional fees.

Cooperation with representatives from countries like the Netherlands and Austria supports the idea that visa applications should be submitted early using only official channels. Errors in documents, information mismatches, or incorrect photo formats are common causes of rejections, as are unauthenticated bank reports.

VFS Global is actively leading campaigns to raise awareness about scam dangers, offering various services for a more convenient visa application process.
