Bank Jakarta Launches Visa Debit Card to Expand Global Transactions

In an effort to broaden access to global transactions, Bank Jakarta has launched a new Visa debit card. During the launch event, the bank’s Director, Agus H. Widodo, highlighted this collaboration with the global payment network as part of their transformation strategy. The move aims to make Bank Jakarta a modern and competitive institution, connected to the global financial ecosystem. The new card will allow Jakarta residents, from civil servants to businesspersons, to conduct safer and more convenient transactions worldwide. Visa Indonesia’s Vira Widiyasari emphasized that the card supports millions of merchants and ATMs globally, catering to both retail and online purchases. Jakarta’s Governor, Pramono Anung, remarked that this is an important step in building trust with the public.
