Asep Kurnia: Global Trust in Indonesia Increases

Indonesia is confidently paving its way to strengthening its position on the international stage. Reports indicate a significant increase in Indonesian visa applications in 2025. According to the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Institutions, there were 8,585,570 applications from January 1 to December 23, 2025, marking a 45.65% increase from the previous year. Ministry Secretary General Asep Kurnia presented these figures at the 2025 End-of-Year Reflection event. He also noted a 5.31% rise in border crossings, emphasizing that these figures reflect the growing international trust in Indonesia and the stable recovery of cross-border mobility.
