MIND ID and CATL Build Battery Factory in Karawang, Targeting Operation by Late 2026

MIND ID and CATL have initiated the construction of a battery factory in Karawang, Indonesia, aiming for commercial operation by late 2026. This project marks a significant milestone in the country’s electric vehicle industry, boosting Indonesia’s position as a key player in renewable energy markets. The facility, set to commence operations by late 2026, will be part of an integrated electric vehicle industry in Indonesia, from design to production and assembly. The project’s first phase aims at an initial capacity of 6.9 GWh, expanding to 15 GWh. This collaboration between MIND ID and CATL is poised to transform Indonesia into a major player in the global battery and sustainable technology markets.
