Amazon Girls’ Tech Day Supports the Development of Digital Talents Among Young Women in Indonesia

The Amazon Girls’ Tech Day event, organized in collaboration with Prestasi Junior Indonesia, marked a significant milestone in fostering digital skills among girls and young women in Indonesia. This year, the program supported by Amazon engaged over 400 students from 10 schools in the Karawang and Bekasi regions. The initiative aims to spark interest and build confidence in technology among girls from an early age, featuring hands-on workshops in artificial intelligence, programming, and robotics. The project involved prominent women tech leaders like Riris Marpaung and Cecilia Astrid Maharani, who inspired participants to innovate and excel in the tech landscape. This initiative is a strategic step by Amazon to promote gender balance in the tech sector and foster innovative thinking among Indonesian women.
