King Salman Donates 100 Tons of Premium Dates to Indonesian Muslims Ahead of Ramadan

Ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia has extended substantial support to the Muslim community in Indonesia. This year, he presented 100 tons of premium dates to aid those in need in Indonesia.

Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Amudi, officially handed over the dates to the Minister of Religious Affairs, Nasaruddin Umar, during an event in Jakarta. This generous gift stands as a testament to the deep and strategic relationship between the two nations.

Dates, which are considered a symbol of prosperity and an integral part of traditional Ramadan celebrations, will be distributed in disaster-affected regions, emphasizing care for those affected.

Speaking about the gift, the ambassador noted that dates, besides their traditional significance, possess high nutritional value and will be an important support for Muslims in Indonesia.

The Religious Affairs Minister stated that special attention will be given to the most vulnerable regions, where the dates are much-needed. This interaction strengthens friendly and strategic relations between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, and similar initiatives are planned for the future.

This partnership highlights not only religious solidarity but also multifaceted support for cultural and friendly ties between the two nations.
