Indonesian pilgrims embarking on the Hajj in 2026 will experience enhanced comfort during their stay in Mecca, thanks to a new agreement made by the Department of People’s Representatives (DPR) with Hotel Novotel Thakher. This partnership secures accommodation for Indonesian pilgrims in one of Mecca’s renowned hotels, not only enhancing living conditions but also improving the quality of services available to pilgrims from Indonesia.

This new agreement was made possible through active inter-governmental cooperation and Indonesia’s commitment to providing the best experience for its citizens during one of the most important religious rites in a Muslim’s life - the Hajj. During the latest DPR meeting, logistical aspects were discussed to ensure everything progresses as planned.

Novotel Thakher Hotel is known for its convenient location and high level of service. Pilgrims will avail themselves of amenities such as spacious rooms, modern facilities, and restaurant services offering halal cuisine.

Moreover, this partnership could also bolster bilateral ties between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. Some DPR members expressed that collaboration in such a vital sector as pilgrimage can enrich and expand interactions between the two countries, mutually benefiting tourism and the economy.

This initiative also reflects the Indonesian government’s efforts to modernize and improve Hajj organization, focusing on the quality of service and safety for its pilgrims. DPR emphasizes that the quality of service to pilgrims is a top priority, and efforts will continue to meet the needs of Indonesian pilgrims.
