In response to the idea of forming a permanent coalition among government-supporting parties, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) has clearly stated its stance. Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto emphasized that PDIP values building a coalition not only with political elites but with the people. This concept strengthens democracy by reminding us that power belongs to the people. Hasto also criticized the use of surveys as a justification for power. He urges not to forget the real needs of society, such as access to education and improving living standards. Hasto also mentioned the tragedy in East Nusa Tenggara as an example showing the need for attention to social issues.
