High Satisfaction with MBG Program Reaches 72.8%

A recent survey by Indonesia’s Political Indicator shows a public satisfaction level with the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program reaching 72.8%. This underscores a positive public reception of this significant initiative by President Prabowo Subianto’s administration. The findings were released by the founder and lead researcher, Burhanuddin Muhtadi, on Sunday, February 8.

12.2% of respondents are ‘very satisfied,’ while 60.6% are ‘fairly satisfied.’ Conversely, 24.4% reported being less satisfied or dissatisfied, culminating in a total satisfaction rate of 72.8%.

The survey highlights Generation Z as the most satisfied demographic, with an 80.7% approval rate. This marks the program’s significance and impact on the younger population.

Additionally, there is a noticeable shift in public aspiration towards making the program universal. In January 2025, only 47% supported MBG being provided to all children regardless of economic background, which has now increased to 60%.
