Gema Bangsa Party Declares Itself as a New Political Force
On January 16, 2026, in Jakarta, the Gema Bangsa Party officially declared itself as a new political force in Indonesia. The party aims to become a medium for political struggle based on principles of integrity, social justice, and national progress. A significant part of their declaration was the introduction of the ‘Gerakan Mandiri Bangsa’ movement, which seeks to achieve sovereignty in political and economic decisions, as well as national development.
Founded on January 17, 2025, the party has managed to build a structure with numerous provincial and local branches across Indonesia over the past year. The primary goals of the party include the concepts of ‘Independent Indonesia’, ‘Political Decentralization’, and ‘Indonesia Reborn’.
‘Independent Indonesia’ implies the country should avoid dependence on foreign powers, and aims to develop its own resources. The party is focused on supporting farmers, fishermen, and small and medium-sized businesses. The ‘Political Decentralization’ concept advocates for democracy building through decentralized power, enhancing regional leaders’ authority, and creating an inclusive political environment.
‘Indonesia Reborn’ is targeted at renewing political management systems and fostering sustainable politics, emphasizing the involvement of youth in the change process.
The declaration gathered representatives from the central executive committee, regional and local leaders, as well as public and political figures. The Gema Bangsa Party stated they are ready to contribute to the development of Indonesian democracy and state-building.
