Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: No Indonesian Citizens Affected by Crane Collapse in Thailand

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that no Indonesian citizens were affected by the crane collapse that struck a passenger train in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. The incident resulted in numerous casualties, but no Indonesians were reported harmed, according to Heni Hamidah, Acting Director of the Protection of Indonesian Citizens at the Ministry. The ministry emphasized that monitoring is ongoing and they remain in close coordination with local authorities via the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok, prepared to take quick action if any Indonesians are found to be impacted. The authorities continue to keep a vigilant watch. A similar severe incident occurred in Samut Sakhon province. Indonesian citizens in Thailand are advised to remain vigilant and contact the embassy if in need.
