Gas Leak in Indragiri Hilir, Riau: TGI's Response

A gas leak occurred on a pipeline owned and operated by PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia (TGI) in Indragiri Hilir, Riau. The incident took place on the Grissik Duri (GD) KP222 line in Batu Ampar Village. The leak was detected on January 2, 2026. TGI promptly shut down compressors and closed all nearby section valves to halt the leak. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause. Fortunately, there have been no casualties among the public or workers. TGI continues to monitor gas pressure and is working with Riau police for security.
