Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, stated that neighboring countries, particularly Singapore, are not pleased with Indonesia’s economic advancements. This statement was made ahead of the Jakarta Food Security Summit 2026. The minister emphasized the importance of Indonesia’s participation in international trade agreements such as CEPA and RCEP, which contribute to the opening of the Indonesian market. He also noted that Indonesia will continue to expand trade with various countries, including the UK, EU, and the Eurasian Economic Union. This will ultimately strengthen Indonesia’s economic position on the global stage.
