Mataram Mayor Enters Top 10 in PWI 2026 Award

The Mayor of Mataram, H. Mohan Roliskana, has been selected as one of the top 10 regional leaders in the PWI 2026 Cultural Award. This accomplishment marks him as the sole representative from the province of West Nusa Tenggara in this prestigious event. According to an official letter from PWI Pusat, Roliskana scored 375 points, placing him in the top three among all candidates.

The selection process was highly competitive, involving a jury of experts in arts, culture, and senior journalists, such as Sudjiwo Tejo and Dr. Nungki Kusumastuti. Initially, 22 regional leaders from various regions of Indonesia applied. After a thorough review of proposals, videos, and local regulations, the jury shortlisted 10 finalists.

The final presentation will take place on January 8-9, 2026, in Jakarta, where participants are required to present their regional development projects and showcase their cultural achievements to the committee. The award is associated with National Press Day and aims to encourage regions with rich cultural heritage and innovative cultural solutions.
