Indonesia has announced plans to construct the Cultural House Museum in South Africa in 2026. The project will be set on a 2000-square-meter site provided by the Indonesian diaspora in Cape Town. The Ministry of Culture, involving the private sector, aims to complete the construction by the end of the year. This establishment is part of Indonesia’s cultural diplomacy program, aimed at strengthening cultural ties and coincides with the 400th anniversary of Sheikh Yusuf’s exile. Supported by the concept of a miniature Balla Lampoa palace, the project emphasizes Indonesia’s unique cultural heritage as a key player in global diplomacy and cultural exchange.
