PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia (TMI) has launched a ‘Visa Protection’ feature, adding significant value to its travel insurance offerings. This move caters to the financial risks travelers face, especially when visa applications are denied. Djoko Mulyono, Head of Product Development, highlighted that visa applications are often a critical point as travelers usually make travel arrangements before securing a visa. With ‘Visa Protection,’ clients can receive reimbursement for various travel costs, such as visa fees, tickets, and accommodation, provided they meet policy terms and exceptions. This initiative aims to mitigate administrative risks beyond clients’ control. The distribution of this insurance through travel agents also aids in enhancing travel risk awareness among consumers.
