Update: Visa-Free Countries for Indonesian Passport as of February 6

As of February 6, 2026, the Passport Index shows that the Indonesian passport has a mobility score of 88, granting visa-free access to 42 countries. Additionally, visa on arrival is available in 41 countries and e-visas in five countries. Globally, Indonesia ranks 58th, covering 44% of the world. While Indonesia is competitive in the region, it still lags behind some Southeast Asian neighbors. Visa-free destinations for Indonesians include strategically important regions in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and South America. Countries with visa-free entry include Angola, Barbados, Brazil, Brunei, Cambodia, and others. Indonesian citizens also benefit from visas on arrival in places like the Maldives and Nepal, and e-visas in countries such as India and Australia. Approximately 110 countries still require visas for Indonesians, including the US, Europe, and China. Diplomatic efforts and economic stability are key to enhancing the position of the Indonesian passport in the future.
